Products

PTC offers a full line of chrome plated products including Tubing and Bar, at our Tubular and Bar Machined Components facility located in Hannibal, Missouri. 

In house centerless grinding (Acme) along with our three automated plating lines ensure that each step in the manufacturing process is monitored to yield flawless product performance, long life, and durability.

All of PTC’s plated bar products are available as chrome plated only or induction hardened and chrome plated. We also offer selectively hardened bars to match your machining requirements. 

Our durable surfaces meet or exceed all industry standards for corrosion resistance, coefficient of friction and wear loss.

We also offer Caserod, an induction-hardened, precision ground shafting typically for non-plated applications that will be subjected to excessively hard wear or for security bar applications.

• Chrome-plated tubing and hollow piston rods for telescopic hydraulic cylinders

Chromerod Extreme

This proprietary chrome-plating system delivers vastly superior corrosion resistance and offers 1000 hour life when tested to the neutral salt-spray specification (ASTM B-117).

Common Applications: 

• Heavily corrosive environments

Value-Added Operations

PTC offers extensive Value-Added operations; our three CNC machining centers provide fully machined cylinder rods, ready for further processing such as welding and final assembly. We also offer saw cut blanks and precision gun drilled parts to print.
